Teriyaki Mushroom Skewers

It's BBQ season! We huddled over the grill with beers in our hands, grilled up some of our fresh Pearl Oyster and Shiitake mushrooms. With simple Teriyaki sauce, we cooked them till slightly crispy on the edges and juicy inside. This is going to be a must item for our BBQ from now on. Hope you enjoy them too. 


  • 6-8 oz fresh mushrooms, cut into bite size

  • 1/4 cup Teriyaki sauce  

1. Skewer the mushrooms, and brush Teriyaki sauce on both sides.


2. Grill skewers over medium-high heat until tender and slightly charred on the edges, about 2-3 minutes per side. Enjoy!


Teriyaki Sauce:


For an easy and yummy Teriyaki sauce, mix these ingredients together, simmer until sugar dissolves. For additional flavor, add crushed garlic, minced ginger, or herbs of your choice. (Makes 1/4 cup)

  • 1/8 cup soy sauce

  • 1/8 cup sake or water

  • 1 tsp sugar or honey
